Through a series of letters, a family elder relates his life story to his son in the hopes of warning him against a mediocre life - and with aim to endear his grandson to him. Though they haven't seen each other for decades, they are well aware of each other. Throughout his travels, the grandfather has kept close watch over his family. And the family has been unable to escape the knowledge of - or the infamy tied to - their blood relation. In fact, their elder has captured the world's attention by destroying much of it.
