Frank Carter was a pretty ordinary guy, at least that was the case until weird stuff began happening around him; cars would crash in front of him, pots would fall where he had just stood, and so on. It felt like the world was out for him, yet some force kept saving him.

It takes a couple of weeks of this chaos before a god from another world intervenes, bringing him to his world where the world isn't out for him. Before throwing him into his world, the god gives him two blessings. The first is his personal blessing and the second is the ability to create a single other form that he that he can shift into.

The god's last act before letting him loose in the world, is a note on how to open his status, as if the world was a video game. It is now up to Frank to live his life in a new world of swords and magic.
