Magic, like most things in the universe, should be able to be measured . All things in existence are bound to the laws of physics and are subject to the whims of the universe. No god is able to bend space time, no man is able to conjure something from nothing, and magic is not a McGuffin resource that makes unicorns and rainbows.
Magic is more than that. Magic is quantifiable, Measurable , and most certainly Abusable . If, say, a man who wishes to do what was thought to be impossible, to prove that magic is all of these things yet mind-numbingly more that that, what do you think the backlash would be? Not only that, but how does one prove this in the first place?
"But how?" I hear you ask. What I am suggesting seems very clear to me, but then again I'm the one telling you these things. What I'm suggesting is quite obvious in hindsight.
I'm going to kill a god to prove a damn point is what I'm going to do.
