The unnamed main character has been partaking in the rat race for many years now. Their mundane and often boring office life comes to a hold, when a mysterious deformed creature appears out of nowhere. No one but the protagonist can see it. Wherever they go, the beast follows. None of its groans and yelps make any sense. Each time it attempts to take a hold of them, they only narrowly escape. What is this being? Why did it choose them?

This story features a non-binary protagonist navigating the labyrinth that is the corporate world, the struggles of the mind and an ever dissolving boundary between the real and the unreal.
