These are the words left by the first ascendant that steered the human inhabitants of the world to pursue the supernatural. The era of apotheosis began.

The current emperor of Immortal Empire, the strongest hegemony on the continent of Gaia, will finally have a son. The Prince has shown godly potential in both mana control and spirit summoning, just a day after his birth. With that kind of talent, the Emperor's enemies will surely want to end the life of a future threat; he could only sacrifice his son's freedom to make sure his safe. When the Emperor made it a rule to not allow the Prince outside, it was absolute.

The young prince grew behind castle walls for ten years, he felt suffocated for being guarded ceaselessly. His desire to explore the outside world grew with every second that passes. He wished to be free, to not be bound by rules, but he never thought that in exchange for freedom, he needs to be crippled. The young prince agreed to a deal he can't remember, sealed within his memories.

With his powers gone, the desire to find the cure to his curse led him to explore the world. Will the emperor safely achieve ascension knowing that his future successor is crippled? How will the young future ruler control the empire?
