Earth. Not an Earth known to you or me, but one filled with the monsters that we can only dream of. Ones that we fear creep in the shadows, in the case of this Earth however, when the lights turn on it doesn't disappear. Despite this, the races of this world have thrived. Building great walled cities across all eight continents. In the largest of these cities, Shady Oaks, life is grand, all eight districts and the eye of the city are powered through a combination of Radiant Energy and steam. The canals that span across the city keep the economy flowing and the zip portals keep transportation simple and instantaneous. Until, one day a few simple sentences change everything. The already fantastical city is suddenly thrust into chaos as neighbors and loved ones are turned into flesh craving zombies. The survivors, few and far between, will have to band together to survive, in a world that went from dangerous to hellish overnight. Utilizing their new access to The System may be the only chance three groups of survivors have when the world as they knew it is flipped on its head. Will this newfound power be a blessing or a curse? The only thing for certain is right now, and with nowhere to run and with monsters both inside and outside of their once great wall. Right now is only the need to survive. Though different in many ways, our survivors will utilize new found power to see tomorrow. Building both themselves and the broken city around them to help in the trials ahead. If only zombies where the only thing our survivors would have to worry about. People show their true nature in the worst of times, for good or ill. Our survivors will have to over come, other survivors and even worse still. Will they have the strength and perseverance to survive? Will they be able to do the unthinkable, rebuild and still figure out what the company is doing? Wait, does that little girl have a zombie, in a tutu????
