In 2030 several governments and corporations came together in a joint energy generation project. At a testing ground in the desolate New Mexico desert an experiment into null space energy had unintended results. The project was intended to pull energy from null space or other dimensional space but instead breached the seal that held Earths dimension. It is theorized that at the same time this happened a large magical ritual was happening on another world that interacted with the energy experiment that went awry.

Since the experiment claimed almost all the scientists lives that were involved in the demonstration the complete details are unknown. Accounts of the magical ritual are also scarce. The result was a catastrophic fusion of two worlds. This event is known as:

The Sundering

The event melded two worlds together. The Stitching combined Earth and Elsweld into a brand-new existence. Races of legend and myth joined the humans in a new unforeseen landscape. Magic, Mana, Essence, and all the gifts they brought to the new world changed the fate of humanity. Gods, monsters, and demons were stitched into the new joint reality and world.
