In Domaine-des-Deux, magic flows in the nobility's blood. Each noble house descends from a different god, and serves as the ordinary citizens' protection against the harsh world outside, full of monsters, magical creatures, and other threats.

Growing up in the idyllic town of Le-Voux, orphans Luc, Yvon, and their close friend Emilie could never have imagined the vastness of the world beyond their town's walls. After Yvon's sudden and unexpected awakening as a mage of a supposedly-destroyed dark god's bloodline, his friends face an impossible choice: shelter him, or turn him over to the cold Temples? As plots unfold and wounds both ancient and recent are uncovered, the trio must struggle to survive or else falter to the great darkness lurking equally deep in dangerous wildlands as behind false smiles and velvet gloves.
