Meet Vic Owens, three-hundred-year-old fairy and self-appointed supernatural detective. You might have seen him bumming around town, fighting monsters and eradicating ghosts — but he could care less if you did. It's possible that you might have seen him burying his face in a glass of booze — but he wouldn't remember if you did.
He fancies himself to be a modern day Buffy The Vampire Slayer ... and he's completely alone in that belief. Most find him to be an arrogant and selfish prick with terrible habits. But those people can hold their opinions in their clenched fists and shove them in a place that can't be mentioned on a friendly description page.
His usual slaying routine becomes a bit unusual when he rescues a girl named Maya from an aggressive troll. Together, they discover the startling secret of why she was attacked and the problems that follow.
As a main character, Vic is not a great guy. Hell, he's not even a good guy. At best, he is an anti-hero. He will do things that piss you off and things that you don't agree with. He has a disdain for the world and doesn't know how to properly relate or communicate with humans or other creatures. With that said, after meeting Maya, his worldview and antics will slowly begin to change and evolve. But those changes won't happen overnight.
Vic Owens is an ongoing story and is meant to be a slow burn. There will be 'monster of the week' chapters where they encounter a new bad guy and the main plot develops slowly. Other chapters will be only main plot focused. Also, the story will be campy at times—and is intended to be that way.
