In 2020, a virus struck the world, spreading at an unprecedented rate but this didn't sound the alarm bells. Not for everyone, at least. No one imagined the virus had the potential to spell the end of humanity. Well, except Lionel Walker.

Two years later, in a world where a mutant strain of the virus, the Blood Variant, has decimated more than a third of the world's human population, Lionel navigates a Flesher-filled wasteland and has started to lose his will to live. When he discovers other survivors like himself and catches wind of a rumor that, if true, could change everything, he starts to believe again.

But on the deadly quest for salvation, Lionel must deal with threats: both living, and undead.
