On the night of his most important championship bout, middleweight boxer Martin "The Hammer Hand" Elacio suffers catastrophic brain damage. Unbeknownst to him, otherworldly beings known as the Commission have taken an interest in collecting Earthling specimens. Bringing him back from the verge of death, they hurl our pugnacious pugilist into the topsy-turvy world of the Pipe, a gargantuan spaceship that serves as both habitat and gladiatorial arena for the most vicious species in the galaxy!

Martin and his fellow humans must learn the brutal customs of this place, or else go extinct. For in the Pipe only the strong can thrive, proving their worth through a series of ritualized honor-duels known as the Rite of Mon'tek'ahn.

But when the stuff truly hits the fan, Martin can always count on two things: a strong right hand, and his iron will.

This story takes a little inspiration from shounen anime like Hajime no Ippo, with our protagonist gradually improving and expanding his arsenal of moves in a (mostly) grounded portrayal of real-world martial arts mixed with science fiction elements. If you like that kind of thing, then this might be up your alley.
