In a silent woodland, on a sleeping island, in a raging ocean, Cameron Carroll emerges from a grave. Whether it is his grave or not, remains to be seen (not unlike a glass coffin), but there is one thing for certain: it is the high point of things for him for a while. As he ventures into this new world he finds himself in he must confront the mysteries of Skipper Street and the surrounding territories, and the enigma of the Arcane that is beginning to take over his mind. He will meet friendly Necromancers and Mayors that wouldn't be up for reelection in any good and respectable part of the world. He will venture into the shrouded Fog Down Manors, and try his luck in the Misturn Faire, all while progressing down the Paths that all Walkers must complete to gain power and understanding of their chosen class.
But seeing as Cameron has chosen a class that is not, generally speaking, looked on with fondness, he will illustrate the need that humans have to make their own problems more difficult. Aslo, he will discover that he has a severe dislike of Clowns.
