There is a world where magic used to exist. Superhuman Heroes used to fight the ever encroaching powers of darkness. Ghosts and demons would take the souls of those foolish enough to make contracts with them. You can still hear stories about them. Stories retold by generation after generation by the villagers, each time slightly differently. You can find a scripture well hidden in a basement of a magnate's mansion or worn out Volumes in the imperial library.

The stories are of what can no longer happen. Supernatural is no more. It's been hundreds of years since the last resurrection of the dead, a prophet who could reliably predict the future or a sorcerer casting a fireball. Instead enlightenment and reason took their place.

Things however are going to change when people from our world are isekai'ed there.
