A boy wanders the streets of New York alone, he does not know his name, he does not know where he comes from, he does not know who he is. All he has with him is a mysterious mask he doesn't know the origin of. No matter how hard he tries to get rid of the mask, it always ends up right back at his feet a couple minutes later. So he accepts it, and it gives him power.

Years later an urban legend is formed, of a mysterious masked figure who always seems to pop out of thin air, creating chaos and damage every time it appeared, and nobody could stop it. After all, what regular person could compete with a superhuman? It could punch through concrete, keep on pace and outrun cars, and it could detect miniscule movements from a mile away. The boy was unstoppable and had become arrogant.

Yet... He still didn't know his own name. Until one day, he flew too close to the sun and got shot by the police when his mask was off. As he was dying, a mysterious voice began to speak with him.

His name is Taiga, and he is about to embark on an incredible journey across worlds to discover his past self.

The Power Arc: Rai, a world separated in two by a powerful storm, where one side has the Ankudo, people with the power to far exceed the traditional human limits of their bodies. The other side has the Tetsudo, people who wield control over nature and the elements.

A decade long war ravages the Ankudo, however, as part of an exchange that happens every century. Four of some of the strongest Tetsudo will cross over to the other side, one of them is Cain, a master of fire, also a troubled boy with a hatred of royalty. As he begins his journey, so does Taiga, after he finds himself in a peaceful and mysterious sanctuary...
