A child not chosen by the Divine Beasts during the choosing ceremony must form his own destiny.

Vel was given something no other child was given, a chance to be chosen past the normal ceremony. Seeing this as proof of how special he is, he continues the task until strangers enter the town looking for him. He must develop his own path if he hopes to survive, find a Beast to share its soul with him, a Color to control its power, and a Domain to claim. All before the Emperors hear of him and have him killed before he can threaten the peace.
