Ellen's mother is a substitute teacher and undercover mage, Ellen herself a killer on the run. When they arrive in yet another dead-end town all they want to do is their job. For her Mom to find the problem, for Ellen to fix it.

Easy. Simple. But not this time.

With the disappearance of her best friend, and unlikely accidents and unsolved mysteries stacking up, Ellen realizes that 'truth' comes in many flavors. Who can she trust? The wicked witch? The criminal in white? The boy in the wheelchair? The truth is out there, somewhere. It's just going to take more than a trip down memory lane to find it.

(Someone described this as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment, or if I should hire a hitman :-))
