Tyressa "Tyree" Pearce. Soldier. Mother. Wife. She's spent the last six months guarding her home city of Castera both inside and beyond its massive triple walls. Vacation only three days away, she's all set to head north with her wife and their two daughters to aid an old friend in a battle against a disease ravaging their village in the north.

But those plans get pulled out from under her when a far greater existential threat forces the entire Kingdom of Ilsylvania to muster forces not seen in hundreds of years.

The Guardians, beings of great power who scour the continent battling the monster threats too great for man alone to deal with, have vanished without a trace.

Without their ever-present protectors, increased monster sightings along trade routes threaten to cripple resources already stretched thin by disease.

Then, as quickly as they vanished, the Guardians return.

But they've changed.

No longer are they simple, yet powerful constructs who fight monsters without thought or care to themselves.

They are people.

People from a world they call Earth.

The relationship between Guardians and NPCs becomes increasingly strained as Tyree finds herself caught in the middle of a bloody player-driven plot that threatens to take away everything she loves. A plot to force whomever brought the Guardians to Gaea, suddenly and unwillingly ripped from their homes and loved ones, to send them back to earth.
