Estera Montenegro grew up knowing one thing: she needs to be a wolf to survive.

As an Enforcer in her community, it's her job to face off with law-breaking members, but one day, she finds herself flat on her back with a knife to her throat. The defeat comes as a surprise since it means getting beheaded for failing. However, being the daughter of a community leader means mercy, so she's expelled from the group instead.

Injured and homeless, she crosses paths with Magnus Juarez. His community supplies electricity to the entire region, which makes them vital in the wasteland. Little does he know he just allowed a wolf through their gates because Estera is willing to do anything to survive. She'll even try to usurp the fortress from under his nose to regain the power that was torn from her.
