Max spent a year preparing for the end of the world as we knew it. He did the training, bought the gear, learned the skills. However, the arrival of the Interface brought him face-to-face with an unpleasant truth: he was not the Chosen One. This bloodthirsty new world was not one he could thrive in.

So as millenia of humanity before him, he decided that if he could not adapt to this hostile environment, he would build something that would make this environment adapt to him.
