Penni's life was going just fine, thank you very much. Good friends and a new but promising boyfriend, check. Decent grades, check. Finances ... okay, not so great but that was to be expected in college.

Then, blue boxes. A tutorial. Goblins. Orcs. What the holy heck!

Apparently planets being invaded was a thing, as was the universe granting a system so the defenders would have a chance. Earth got the fantastic opportunity to beta test a new one - yay! - one based on collectible card games.

One thing was for sure, Penni's life would never be the same ... if she survived at all.
