My world was college, friends and preparing for university. I had dreams of a future, of a family of my own one day. Sometimes I still think of them, wondering what could have been, if they dead hadn't risen like a plague to wash over the land.

To survive, to simply exist, we had to be strong. Sometimes I wish I could have been stronger, then it might have ended differently, the ones I loved might have lived.

Alone now, I have nothing but time to sit and think about what went wrong, about what I could have done better, the choices I could have made, but didn't. All I have is time.

This is my story of what we did to survive.
