Alec was someone who dreamed of adventure instead of his mundane life when something beyond even his wildest imaginations happens. A global event known as the Emergence occurs and modern society becomes ruled by mythic kingdoms who along with mystical adventurers defend against nightmarish monsters who now roam the Earth.
