The Lapins are a race that has chosen to isolate itself from the rest of the world. However, one of them, a little girl, has decided to forget a lifetime of teachings and venture out into the world. It took until she's reached the other end of the continent to muster up the courage to enter a bar, where she's saved from an unruly patron by a minstrel.

That same minstrel turns out to be a kind soul that offers to help her get the ropes of the world she dreams of entering. The more she finds out about him, the more interesting he becomes, but also terrifying. After a short while, she finds out he is an assassin, and that his main goal is to simply rid the world of the corrupt elite at its helm. Reluctantly, she agrees to help, as she continues to discover what the human world has in store.
