In a world where adventuring is commonplace, and magic is mundane, dungeons and towers filled with monsters and treasure are abundant and freely available for any and all to explore. Some choose to study the vast mysteries of the land, while others simply desire to pluck whatever riches they can from an adventuring career. Others see it as a way to garner power and respect. Lavi hasn't made a name for himself. He hasn't really been able to figure out what he really wants from adventuring. He's average in almost every way, and feels like, while he's still younger than most, he's aging out of the practice without having really accomplished much, or having found a place for himself. After spending the better part of his life leveling up what most people refer to as a "useless" stat with the promise of a random mastery level skill upon maxing it, Lavi finally achieves his goal and sets to work finding out what he's gotten, hoping it'll choose a direction for him. If it's magic, he'll go caster. If it's melee, he'll go full physical. The only thing he can't stand the thought of is it being useless. Unfortuntately, while... Useful. It's not at all what he expects.
