Looking at the seven not so unfamiliar faces that had ambushed and surrounded me, I spoke as casually as I ever did:

"Seriously, if this is considered a smart move by you people I wonder what you all might do in a moment of stupidity,"

"Arthur you can joke as much you want. But your fate has already been sealed. You should have accepted the deal The Seven offered you back then," One of them spoke.

"You gave up on living when you refused to cooperate," Another joined.

Now, anywhere else in our world, this force could wreak a disaster. But in front of the Strongest Beholder it didn't really amount to much. I really could not understand where their source of confidence came from. Still, their look at that time really spoke of trouble and their casual attitudes towards my obvious strength should have been enough of a warning for me.

"You all should really consider changing your dialogs. It is really a drag to listen to these repeated lines repeatedly," I laughed.

"You may say your last words now" The leader amongst them, ignored my jibe and sneered.

"Yeah, you know what, I always wished I could change my name to Feliks," I joked even at that moment.

Over-confidant, arrogant, conceited. Yeah, I probably agree with you now. Those were my last words before I died.

Yes, I died.

In our world known as The Fourth Layer, mysteries were abundant. The foremost mystery of our time would be the emergence of Beholders. A title given to those born with unique abilities. And my death was forgotten in the flow of time. Being the strongest doesn't really count for much.

Now, death is usually when the story ends, but it was just the beginning for me.
