Ambrose doesn't have a glorious life. After eeking out a minimum wage at the local tavern as a server, Ambrose spends the rest of his time either trying to study for the yearly entrance exam into the Dungeon Delvers Academy or trying not to get beaten into the ground by the thugs that like to take a particular interest in Ambrose's wellbeing. When the violence rises to a new height, Ambrose is thrown into the first level of the Dungeon. Which is notorious for killing eager and underprepared dungeon delvers. Will Ambrose survive long enough to make it to the end of the first floor and join the ranks of the Dungeon Delvers or will the sharp end of a knife leave him dead like so many others?
