The first hints of spring bring with it the Corruption – an anomaly of strange sightings and missing corpses.
Shu Haize really isn't interested, but what was supposed to be a short excursion to locate his only friend has led to something he never signed up for. He wants to escape its grasps – wherever it's confining him – so he's walking, roaming, heading nowhere in particular but he's moving, letting loose in the adrenaline of battle.
There's a cemetery of stars tonight. Shu has never had any affinity to stargazing so when he looks up, he's hollow and lost in its immensity. Then he's finding companions, all of them unfamiliar, and one in the form of raven hair and amused amber eyes.
"Hello?" His lips curve. "What a coincidence."
