In the city of Magia, ordinary student Kazuma goes about his daily routine. That all changes when he suddenly encounters an amnesiac magician named Alice. He offers to help her, but unbeknownst to him, their interaction would be the trigger that draws unwanted attention towards them. In order to combat this, the two of them are left with no other choice but to form a contract, allowing Kazuma to attain magic known as "Change". With this, he is able to harness the power of various magics and fight to protect Alice.
