32 Years ago, Raven's father and mother boarded the ECSS Dark Phoenix, a spaceship on the first expedition to an unknown and uncolonised region of space. When the ECSS Dark Phoenix entered the solar system of it's destination planet, Riothea, it lost all contact with Earth. Assuming the worst, Raven vowed to go to Riothea and discover the mystery of the lost ship.
When entering the Riothea system, they stop receiving messages from Earth. Upon coming closer to the planet, the power is cut and they end up plummeting through the atmosphere. Upon 'landing', they find that things are radically different from Earth, in many more ways than they might have anticipated.
