The world creates new phases as it destroys the old ones. It has always been like this, and it always will be. An old dragon descends on a new phase in its quest of entertainment, and admires the place with the detachment of an outsider.

Or: a dragon acts like one would expect of a dragon: it does what it wants with its life, and it does not care about yours.
