A young boy has to overcome many types of hardship to save himself and those he loves but does he have the strength to beat the odds and save everyone or will someone have to die?

Edward Olsen is a 15 year old boy living in a world with magic and fantastical creatures and colourful people. Despite this Edward is doomed to slowly die from an until now unrecognized but perhaps ancient disease.

In a land that's filled with magical and mysterious crystals which seems to always have some kind of catch. Can Edward find a way to escape his horrific fate or will he succumb to the overbearing challenges in his path.
