A man suddenly finds himself in the body of a child, one Hannibal Sterling. He eventually discovers he found himself in a game and is convinced that this is his new reality.
Trouble is brewing, however. The house he is finds himself a part of is often antagonistic in the game and find their end in many of the game's epilogues.
What's worse, the knowledge of the game is incomplete. Not only did he only do a partial playthrough of the game, but the how the world unfolds depends much on the choices of the protagonist, which he isn't.
A journey to try and secure his future, while guiding the protagonist down the correct routes is set in motion, but nothing ever quite works out the way he wants to, and while the world be like the one from a game, this isn't a game at all.
