Lenore Laymon is a parasite. A phantom in disgrace. A warlock of stolen curses. A woman broken down.

A decade and a half of work, hiding underground. One night, after another failed venture for salvation, Lenore leaves her workshop only for her experiment to come to life. A spirit trapped in a body of blood and parchment. Their identity has rotted away, lost in the past. Stuck together, Lenore and the paper ghost are left to scrounge for the pieces of who they used to be.
