His life will change when 800-year-old Ryu appears in Kyoto, looking for a lost temple; and Aya, a beautiful hacker with a unique disease, learns that XHumans aren't as perfect as they thought.

They've edited out the genes which allow for Cultivation.

That will give Ryu a chance to surpass them.

And maybe save the world from an impending cataclysm.
