Thread: Novel Series Under Different Names

I think [100 years of Martial Arts] and [Bu ni Mi wo Sasagete Hyaku to Yonen, Elf de Yarinaosu Musha Shugyou] are the same novel under different names. Can you check that for me.

I was also having trouble uploading this thread. I think it was because the title was too long so I changed it.

I merged the two items.

FWIW, there are a number of duplicates, due to inconsistencies between the various data-sources that I scraped to initially pre-populate the database.

Regarding the thread title, There's an internal limit on the title of 80 characters. However, the title being too long is not correctly being reported to the user, and results in a generic error. I'll fix the issue.

Ok, I fixed a bunch of derp in the forum codebase. It now actually bothers to let you know when things go wrong.

You may need to shift+refresh to see the CSS changes, but they're minor (just colorizing the error messages, really).

Also, I apparently forgot to set up the realtime preview markdown editor thing for creating threads (derp!), so I fixed that too.

[Against the god] and [Ni Tian Xie Shen] might be the same you will have to check, and also there is [Another World's Savior] and[Another World's Savior ~ I became unparalleled by using the jet-black divine equipment~] which is the same novel, and[Ant Tensei (Original)] and[Ant Tensei (Original) and (Redux)] are the same novel. Can you check if it's right.

Against the god had no releases or info at all, I just deleted it. Ni Tian Xie Shen and Against the Gods point to the same series.

[Ant Tensei (Original)] and[Ant Tensei (Original) and (Redux)]

Not too sure what happened there, Ant Tensei (Original) should have had /some/ metadata. It's probably /really/ old, or something.

There are a non-trivial number of duplicates, as you're finding. The mechanism for adding automatic releases errs on the side of create duplicate series, rather then potentially adding releases to the wrong series (though that has happened in the past too - :sadface: ).
