So I was adding some web-novels from Fel http://forums.sennadar.com/index.php

I finish Earth Bond and moved on to Kit. for some reason as I was adding releases to Kit it combined it with Earth Bond... now Earth Bond has all the releases I put under Kit...

I assume that this happened because I put them as the same homepage? changed it to a subsection of the site so this does not happen again if this was the cause but now all the Kit releases need to be removed from Earth Bond.

:/ sorry

oh another question... what do you want me to do about names vs nicknames? The author for these uses the nickname Fel on his site but his name is James Galloway.

I don't actually see any series for Kit, and if a series entry got merged, I'd expect the merged series name to show up in the alternate name entries. There is a system that merges series entries with the same homepage, which is possibly not a good assumption to be making, but if that deleted one of the series pages, it should have copied the series alternate names into the earth bond page, which I'm not seeing.

Let me look through the DB logs to see if I can find anything

Oh, regarding author naming, I don't have a preference. Maybe add both? I don't have a mechanism for author alternate names yet.

Ok, I'm seeing it in the database changelogs. I'm actually not sure what happened, but the changeuser history doesn't make much sense.

I'm going to limit the series consolidator to only operate on RoyalRoadL series, and maybe see about disallowing duplicate URL entries in the URL field.

I recreated the series page here: https://www.wlnupdates.com/series-id/42570/, I'm trying tto convince the releases to copy across now. I'm also fat-fingering shit, and managed to delete the last 700 releases. Whooo!

Anyways, that's an annoying issue, and thanks for helping me track it down.

Another thing that might be handy: If you click "edit" on several fields, clicking "save" on any of them will save all of them. That way, you can edit all the fields for a series in one go.

Ok, I turned off the series collapse thing, and managed to dig all the releases you entered out of the database changelogs:

Let me know if you find more boneheaded issues with the site I can fix. This one was a pretty dumb oversight on my part.

Also, it's awesome you're adding more OEL content. There's a bunch of stuff on a number of forums I haven't figured out how to do release-tracking on (forums are kind of inaccessible to the feed system, I have ideas to fix it, but nothing realistically implementable). Manual addition is really the only viable option at the moment.

:P Kit was missing as an alt title because I removed it after it merged.

Don't know if you missed it or not but I replied to https://www.wlnupdates.com/forum/release-errors/27

Ya this definitely helps :)

Idea, you could add a section to the author pages for alt names. (I am talking about the pages you have when you click the authors name. Don't know if that is a "page" or just a search though.) Brush up the page's look kind of like a novel's page but instead of releases you have the author's novels.

Way it is now works for me though so whatever you want. (Even if you like the idea not even very important anyway though)
