Thread: Two Different Stories Are Mashed Together Again.

Hello, it would appear that this WN story: Dimension System (by Zicon) https://www.webnovel.com/book/dimension-system_10503298005049905 Is being mashed together with a different story from RR also called Dimension System (by ColdFire) https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/33564/dimension-system on the site here https://www.wlnupdates.com/series-id/64172/dimension-system.

As the ColdFire book appears to have been abandoned by the author to the point that he has taken it off all available chapters. I have decided to scrub any and all information linked to that book off the site and update the page with only info related to the Zicon book which has 110 chapters still.

as I don't want my changes to get altered can you do something to make sure only the information from the Zicon book stays on this site,

Note that the tags and genres on that page were added by me as on the book's homepage they aren't included. also, I added a quote from the author's review of his book to the Description section instead of just the book's synopsis as he says that the book was inspired by Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World with I feel is a piece of important information for potential readers. when updating the page to remove any links it may have with the ColdFire book please try not to remove the stuff I add. thank you,

so i have removed almost all information that comes from the RR book but it still lists some chapters from RR in the chapter list and people can remove it unless they are moderators.

This looks like it dates back to the point where I had a bug in the series matching system where I didn't cross-reference authors, and just smashed series together if they were the same type (translated/OEL), and the same name.

I flushed the automated releases, the next time the bot walks the qidian table of contents it should recreate all the relevant chapters.

Edit: Qidian has reworked their markup. Ugh.

ya, WN changes stuff quite often in my experience it's annoying as hell to just navigate all their changes using their own UI nevermind trying to create a stable scrapper. most changes in my experience are vindictive in nature just making it harder to use their site they way I prefer (i,e actually competently)
