Before the universe began, they were ancient. Before the world took shape, they were bored. They created the sea, the land, the sky and the star simply because they could. They seeded their new world with life in their image for their greatest desire was to be loved and worshipped.
But like countless worlds they had created before, they casted their new creation aside. Nothing truly satisfied them forever. Before they left our world behind, they made sure that our devotion remained true and pure should they ever return. We waited for that day faithful – the day when the true God descends upon our world once more.
Or perhaps, in a twist of fate, one would ascend from our world instead.
