Some people believe in the existence of an immortal soul. Some people believe that you only live once. Some people believe in heaven and hell. They are all correct but they are all wrong. A human has a soul, however, you are not the soul. The soul is self aware and can keep its memories. The soul knows what you know, and can make you know only what it wants you to know. It controls your memories, knowledge and indirectly, your actions, like a personal manipulative demon. Then what are you? A mere presence, awareness, consciousness. You live until it wants you to, then it kills you and makes another with your memories. However, it cannot control you directly. Thus, it invented the phenomena called sleep. At night, when you sleep, you don't exist. It freely tailors your memories and creates another with what it wants you to know. When you sleep you die. When you first woke, you were born. However, once you die, you are not forever dead. The soul has a limit on how many it can make and control. Crossing its limits is not recommended. Thus, it created the concept of a week. Once a week, you live for a day. Then you die, until you are born the next week. Nobody remembers dying. Of course nobody does. When awake, the awareness is more powerful than the soul. If it were to rebel... No soul wants that. This is the only component of the memory that all souls throughly erase without showing any laziness.
