The galaxy Virtuous has been torn apart by a forty year war between the Nudal Federation and the crumbling Tasche Empire. Sparked by the race for control over the ancient ship Mabry and it's core fragments which could create, destroy or reshape entire star systems. The Nudal, led by King Zelsept and the monarchy group under his command known as the Innersphere have conquered nearly every planet held by the Tasche Empire, and rule them with an iron fist.

However when Zelsept orders a massive force to the isolated world of Teirix in the Frontier regions of Virtuous, his warlords are challenged by a small band of nations. Leading the fight is Princess Aishas of the city-state Aklium. Knowing she is outmatched, she seeks help from the exiled prince of Aklium.
