Twenty years ago, a terrorist cell known as NexT used advanced technology to merge the real world with the rules and regulations of the popular MMORPG ""Arcadia Online."" Now, two decades after their initial enslavement to the system, those who remain are taking a stand in an attempt to free their world from NexT's reign once and for all.

Amidst the congregation of warriors, one man sticks out. He is a phantom, haunted by his past, who must dawn the cowl of the hero once more. For, if he and his band of broken ex-heroes can't beat the end game, they will forever remain in Arcadia's grasp.

Arcadia is a two-year-old unedited rough draft of a story I wrote for NaNoWriMo, and fits well with the niche categories on this site.
