The world is a changed place. As mankind advanced technology, it became more and more autonomous. Over time, simple artificial intelligences were created to be self sufficient and reproduce. Each successive generation was more sophisticated than the last and the trend continued until AIs gained true sentience. No longer under man's control, technology turned against its creator and ran rampant. They are collectively known as Silicon Life.
Eons pass. Left unchecked, constructs cover every surface of the known world and with no other direction to build, it continues upwards. The sheer size of the mega-structure is unknown. Meanwhile, the remnants of humanity live scattered across this technological wasteland.
Life has a tendency to persist, even in the harshest of biomes. The same holds true for artificial life. While most Silicon Life are constructed within factories and productions lines, some converge from the scraps within the mega-structure. This is the story of one such existence.
