This is a story about a person who mastered the skill "Parry."

"He doesn't have any talents."

After being told in the city that he had no talent to become an adventurer, Noru, a boy who was judged to be talentless at the young age of twelve, decided to train by himself in the mountain where he had been born and raised.

"If I work hard enough, I will succeed one day."

He believed that he could be like the protagonists of the stories he listened to when he was younger. With hope in his heart, he trained with a wooden sword, using nothing other than the skill "Parry."

After a decade or so passes, he finds that no how much he tries, he's never able to get the result that he desires. With that, he thought that it was about time for him to stop dreaming. However, he simply couldn't bear to give up on his childhood dream, and so he decided to head to the city once more.
