His life cut short, Jack Luto comes face to face with the Avatar of the Akashic Record. Told in no uncertain terms that his contributions aren't enough to rest, Jack is faced with a dilemma. Jack's soul is currently dissolving and he has not achieved the stability he needs to rest so he must reincarnate again. This would normally have been an automatic process, but a complication has arisen during many of his last few incarnations. The Record no longer has confidence that his soul will evolve and become stable. It may or may not be his fault though, so he is being given an option. He may "Cash in" The memories and experiences of his previous lives for advantages in his next at the cost of everything he has built up over several thousand lives, or he can bank them and pray he finishes stabilizing with the hope he does much better the next go around keeping in mind the usual disadvantages of memory loss and infancy, and an unkown starting condition.

With the knowledge that he has to "Go big or die" in the next life to earn continued existence he chooses to cash in his experiences.

Armed with memory retention, a reality interface, and a random enhanced starting form factor, Jack is ready to take on the new world. Unless a gang of completely unhinged beauties can undermine his will, or a flight of competitively antagonistic dragon overlords can crush his ambitions. Jack faces the new world not as a man, but as a dragon. A heavy, ugly, flightless Mud Dragon.
