<p>LitRPG w/o the overarching and overbearing story plots. No "trapped in the game," no "end of the real world," no "protagonist is massively overpowered from the get-go," and no "something wrong with the game world that the protagonist has to solve." Slice-of-life with a focus on one player and new and old friends made within the gameworld of ECHO. Spoiler: Alexander spent too much time in the character creation mode, playing with options, and looking at what the game allowed for customization when the helper AI got bored and proactively interpreted a gesture as wishing to log on with the currently displayed character model. Alexander ends up as Madelyn Alexis, an insufferably cute, young, female Tauros character. Upon login, she is greeted with a system message upgrading her character account to the Heroine edition due to being the 50,000th created character. Alexander's interest in the rewards and perks outweigh his "manly pride," so he remains with the character, rather than deleting her and starting over. And the rest, as they say, "is history" -- or "herstory." (2 April 2018) Hello, author here. The spoiler tag above contains information that will be revealed in the seventh and eight segment but makes, I feel, a good synopsis of the intention of the story, especially if you want clarification of one of the tags I checked for the story. At this time, I have around 14,000 words written, split into seven segments, but in a more traditional format might be considered two chapters. Thus, still the very early stages. My intent is do a weekly release of about 2000ish words, though with the first several segments released more rapidly. However, I cannot guarantee a reliable update schedule. My work schedule is highly variable, with periods where I work upwards of ten consecutive days, and my betareader likewise works sequences of twelve-hours shifts. Between work, hobbies, and other commitments, there's not always as much time to sit down and listen to our muses as we would perhaps like.</p>
