<p>Welcome to Hiraeth, a world of melancholy and loss, a world of demons and mutants, and a world of hope and redemption.</p> <p>Harlan is a scavver from the end of time where demons rule supreme while humans have been pushed to the brink of extinction. Those that remain hide in isolated towns where they subject their fellow humans to tortures and wonton cruelty. Now a jaded gray-haired man, Harlan, has little desire for the world of humans or their cities; he much prefers the solitude of the open road where things are less complicated. Golgotha, the city he calls home when he's not trekking across the wastes, is overseen by authoritarian Bosses. It's a place where scheming against the upper classes can land a person upside down with their innards opened for the birds.</p> <p>There are many faces in the crowds of Golgotha's streets. Some are friendly and some will turn a person into the Bosses at the slightest provocation.</p> <p>Though Harlan is one that keeps to himself, every so often the Bosses call on his expertise in moving through the wastes unseen, and he obliges for the sake of the poor souls under their regime. Everything changes when he's offered the opportunity to aid in ridding Golgotha of their Bosses. A vulnerable side of him that harkens back to his days of being a hero begins to make itself evident as Harlan encircles himself with comrades. Its a side of him that feels like weakness.</p> <p>There is a reason that he can walk the wastes without much worry. A reason that few know.
