Samual Kalkin is a former Yakuza assassin. He is also a Berseker, with more than human strength and speed. When given a chance to escape through an inter-dimensional gate, he jumps at it. He is bound by Power as the Geasa-Slave of Maya, an abused teenage girl living under a death sentence, because she cannot control her own Power. Kalkin is given the choice of awakening his own Power or dying.</p>
