Disclaimer: The following is labeled fan fiction purely because it uses 1st edition Pathfinder mechanics. The plot of the story itself is original (or as original as it can be).

Cover art made by GreyChameleons

The world slowly falls into chaos when dozens of magical stones from a different dimension land in the world of Io. These stones possess the power of the stars - the portals of Andromeda, the visions of Crateris, the bestial power of Lynx, to name a few - but not all who gain their power have the best intentions at heart, and due to this one sinister plot after another is hatched.

Act ILenoria Tsukino is a young genius who loves working with machines and reads romance stories in her spare time. A chance encounter allowed her to meet a spirit of a black stone who had been tasked to retrieve the other magical stones - named Soulstones - and restore order in the world. The two agree to work together, but will their strength be enough to drive back the encroaching darkness?

A Quest for the Stars, or Quest for short, is a story that is based on the setting of my long-running homebrew campaign. Quest is my answer to the common statement "The DM should just write a novel." Well, here we are!

(This story is posted on Royal Road. A prologue can be found on FictionPress, but any other website claiming to own this story is posting it without my permission.)

What to expect:

-Slow burn development, slice of life amidst the action, and romance! The projected number of chapters this story will have is in the hundreds and spans several Acts. Lenoria is already strong compared to the average commoner, but not so much as the average adventurer.

-Pathfinder mechanics, though these will be in tooltips, tables, and author notes to avoid interrupting the flow of the story. Expect magic, plenty of nat 1s/20s, and the occasional tabletop shenanigans.

-Common anime tropes and the subversion of some anime tropes.

-While you can expect the four main genres it's tagged in, there will also be moments of romance, comedy, horror, and drama. The graphic violence and sensitive content tags are there for a reason in the case of the last two. You've been warned.

-A fantasy story ranging from a decently experienced level to crossing the boundary beyond mortal limits (5th level to 20th level and beyond).

-Chapters released every Saturday at 12pm Central time. Bonus chapters are posted during the week (usually Wednesdays).
