User: Drima Lee

Log Entry 1, Terna's Book

After a constant wave of pressure from Terna over the past few days, after she got her hand on that flute of hers and that diary, I caved into helping her translate it because "her curiosity peaked". Rigorous efforts were made by me and especially Terna over the past couple days, in order to recover the contents of her song-filled diary, and, again, especially managing to put together the meaning behind each individual word to translate them.

As such, weirdly enough, a number of different languages were spotted, some being more easily readable than others, and some at the edge of being called unique, non standard dialects. It's hard to make most of these out as well, the entire thing has been completely wrecked and nearly rendered some parts unreadable, making restoration having to hold all my computing power at constant overtime to process it.

It was as necessary to recover some contents based on approximate translation, though Terna heavily requested that other contents remained intact, with their original languages and characters without translation whatsoever, having now recovered at least a handful of songs in it. As astounding as it may be, Hikari confirmed one of the languages to be under the name of some "French", calling the song beautiful without giving it much thought in the process, before realizing that it most awkward for a language spoken in her world to have made it's way to this world instead. In her approximation as well, she identified multiple other languages she called "Spanish", "German", "Greek" and commenting on a very old one called "Latin", the last accounting for the majority of songs written. It wouldn't pose as much an issue had she used the formal, world-wide spoken language of the world today, but I was also dumbfounded when I realized very quickly that those languages were also spoken by the entirety of this world in different countries back in the 2000s. As soon as I looked into it, every single aforementioned language was a 1-1 perfect match with ancient ones' under a different name, possibly due historical factor differences from Hikari's world.

This is now a matter than is single handedly worth investigating further because of a multitude of reasons. I have to state that, according to what I was told, Terna wrote this as a kid, ages 6 to around 10 or 12 when she abandoned Dirunon during the genocide. No way a mere child was able to learn that many languages to such fluidity in order to write such songs, which is another can of worms I don't want to open before I can get all these pages translated.

I'll make a data dump of everything I manage to recover and will have her put them in any order she likes, because much like a diary, she wants a fluent, day by day date counter instead of a cluster. Hopefully I can clear this task fast enough, I have to also take notes for a ton of unique M.O.D.s to design as well.

End log.

Part of Life Dew Collapse, at Episode 44: What Do You Really See Us As?/Part 2
