<p>An opportunistic bandit is presented with a unique chance to reverse his fortunes and improve his station in life. After encountering a Magus prospect of similar age and appearance, the scoundrel confronts the inexperienced youth who then proceeds to cast a spell.</p> <p>Things quickly spiral out of control and go awry for the would-be-Magus. Through a twist of fate and poor judgement, he prematurely discharges his impotent wand into his own face in an anti-climatic finish.</p> <p>The scoundrel, not one to allow an opportunity to go to waste, steals the youth's now-vacant identity to enter the Arcane Academy in his stead. This marks the beginning of his journey to become the most infamous Magus in history and found his own criminal underbelly... but first he must pass the entry exam.</p>
